The course is designed to fill a void that currently exists
in the quality of instructors employed in the fitness industry.
Too many training centres are putting the emphasis on fast
tracking students and delivering non-practical skills. I have
based this course on practical knowledge that will be applied
within the trainer's working day. The course shall be delivered
on two levels - with the first being of a more basic format
to provide a high standard of instructor for the fitness industry.
The second level would be an advancement that will be of a
standard for people to succeed in personal training.
Level 1 and level 2 instructor courses include a 1 year membership
with NABBA.

The courses offered cover a wide range of training protocols
as well as assessing techniques and relevant theory - to be
applied to any sport or rehabilitation situation. As you will
see I train athletes from many disciplines so the courses
input will reflect this. The courses are held mainly in Birmingham
but can be taken to venues around the country depending on
demand and they are over weekends with self study in between
attendance days.

Why choose GB FITNESS for your exercise and nutrition
education?
because above all you should be doing all that you can to
ensure the
information that you share (and likely charge for) is up-to-date,
correct
and proven in practise. In reality many of the courses available
are taught
by lecturers who have little direct involvement with clients
and have had no
input into the course construction - therefore knowledge may
be limited. As
an Exercise and Nutrition Consultant I have
worked with hundreds of clients from very different backgrounds
and achieved great results by combining my academic
knowledge with my practical experience.
I have personally written these courses and
deliver them to be on hand to answer any questions
and explain any complexities as we progress through
the course work. I set a high standard and
assessments/exams are designed to fully test your new-found
knowledge, as there are too many poor quality "trainers"
in this industry. When dealing with a person's health
I feel it is important to be as professional as one can be!
Who validates these courses?
the Instructor and Personal Trainer courses
are fully revised and rewritten by me and validated by the
National Amateur Body Building Association (N.A.B.B.A.
- who have appointed me as national co-ordinator
to raise the standard of all courses to be delivered)
and the
Fitness Industry Association
"Buyers Guide Training Supplier".
The British Complimentary Medicine Association
has set GB FITNESS with Independent College status
and validated all courses including the Diploma in
Advanced Nutrition for Optimum Health.
Who has attended the courses in the past?
