6 days at 3 x weekends intensive delivery (total 42 hours) plus
home study.

Aims: To give quality and scientifically proven
education on the extensive topic of nutrition and its effect
on health. A great benefit to all students but especially those
who practise complementary therapies - to advise clients and
attain even greater results.
This course is designed to encompass the complex anatomy and
physiology of the digestive system, the role of micro nutrients
(vitamins and minerals) and macro nutrients (proteins, fats
and carbohydrates), the importance of hydration, government
guidelines and their potential faults, the role of exercise
and how it effects dietary requirements, advice on specific
health issues, vegetarian and vegan dietary issues, the topic
of nutritional supplements, assessing health by means of body
fat analysis, nutrient interactions and the dangers of drugs.
Assessment: A full written examination testing
the complete range of underpinning knowledge and also role-play
of a client/consultation scenario.
Recognised/Validated by: GB Fitness has
approval as an Independent College and the course is validated
by the British Complementary Medicine Association,
approval is also being sought from the Register of Exercise
Professionals (who recognise my current Exercise Instructor
and Personal Trainer courses) as well as quality nutrition
companies such as Solgar, Savant, and Natures Best.
